Aims and Ethos

Within our culture of mutual respect and equality, our aim is for our children to value themselves as the individuals they are. Happy, confident children, whose intellectual and emotional needs are met, are most likely to reach their full potential academically. Class sizes are small and flexibility in the timetable ensures a high degree of individual attention.

From the moment William joined your school, he felt happy, secure, and, once again, interested in his studies. He describes the teachers with huge amounts of fondness as well as respect.

In academic terms, the aims of the Academy School are to provide a well-rounded education and take each child to their maximum potential. The children are prepared for Entrance Examinations to independent schools at 11+, 12+ and 13+.

The school actively promotes British Values through its subject teaching and co-curricular activities.
